Premarital Mentoring

Preparing for Covenant, Not Just the Wedding

At Married and In Love, we believe a successful marriage begins long before you say, “I do.” Our premarital mentoring is designed to prepare individuals considering marriage for the transition from independence to interdependence and for the covenant they are preparing to enter.

Marriage is about bringing together two people with different thoughts, ideas, learned behaviors, upbringings, ways, expectations, and beliefs and learning how to become one. That process does not happen without challenges and conflict. Scripture reminds us in 1 Corinthians 7:28 that those who marry will face troubles in this life. Our goal is not to teach couples that marriage will be trouble-free, but to help prepare and equip them to face those challenges together, with God at the center.

Through honest conversations, practical wisdom, and biblical teaching, we help couples address important areas such as communication and conflict, expectations and roles, finances, family backgrounds and boundaries, intimacy, children, past relationship baggage, and their shared vision for marriage.

Our teaching is heavily rooted in Scripture, including Ephesians 5, 1 Corinthians 13, and other biblical passages that reveal God’s design for love, marriage, sacrifice, honor, unity, and becoming one.

We also challenge each person to examine themselves. Marriage is not only about finding the right person—it is about becoming the right person. We believe becoming the best husband or wife begins with allowing God to help you become the best you.

This is not therapy or clinical counseling. Our approach is personal, transparent, biblical, and practical, combining the Word of God with wisdom gained through more than 30 years of marriage and our experience as certified marriage mentors.

We believe that when couples are educated, spiritually grounded, and prepared for the challenges they may face, they are better equipped to overcome those challenges, stay married and in love, and represent marriage to the world God’s way.

Don’t just prepare for your wedding day. Prepare for your marriage.
